Our first 9-hour expedition was with a different larger boat company and we didn’t see any whales… literally 0 and the whole thing felt rushed and cramped.
But this company, Njord Adventures, are amazing! We went on a smaller, more comfortable, and intimate boat and we were rewarded with numerous orcas (killer whales) and humpback whales. They even gave us soup towards the end of the trip to warm us up!
The water can get choppy, so take seasickness tablets before boarding. The staff keep you informed about bumps and waves, and they were absolutely incredible!

We spent the day searching for the Orcas. We were lucky as they made an appearance. We also got to see humpback whales. The trip was well organised and comfortable. Slightly bumpy in places so I'd recommend taking sea sickness tablets if you're prone to that. The guide had a good knowledge and there was a general feeling of respect for nature and the whales. I would highly recommend.

Had a fantastic two days of watching orcas, humpback and fin whales with NjordAdventures. Would highly reccomend booking a tour with them if you wish to go whale watching from Tromso in winter. The crew are very passionate about what they do and want you to have the best experience possible whilst also following good practices to avoid disturbing the whales.
Will definetly be coming back to Tromso again and booking more tours with them!

The trip with Njord Adventures was unforgettable! I’ve done the whales tour before with other boats and, in my opinion, theirs have a good compromise with size, speed and comfort. It’s only 2h30 to reach the fjords where the whales are, which allowed us to stay much more time around there to try to spot them. We spend a long time enjoying Orcas and Hampacks and got a beautiful gift in the end with a curious Orca playing sooo close to the boat. And that was thankful to them that pushed a bit longer as the weather was good and they could spot more animals around. We had a safe trip, they respect the animals, their space, the distance. We had hot drinks and snacks available the whole time and soup on the way back. Jørn sailed us very safely and also safe for the whales. Hannaleena was super kind, full of knowledge and very passionate. She was all the time checking the fjords to try to spot them. We had explanations about the weather conditions, what to expect and all the details of the whales we’ve seen and their behavior. We were even more lucky to get crazy Northern Lights on the way back, as the weather was completely clear. I totally recommend them! Happy birthday Hannaleena !

Es gab die ganze Tour über gratis Tee und Kaffee sowie Suppe . Wir haben uns wirklich sehr sehr wohl gefühlt und hatten den besten Tag seit langem. Auf der Rückfahrt konnten wir sogar noch Polarlichter sehen. Danke 🤗 bucht diese Tour , ihr werdet es nicht bereuen .

What an experienced crew, Hannaleena was so knowledgeable, informing us on all key aspects, whilst giving us space to experience the journey and serene destination, taking in the experience and encounters with the whales. We felt very safe and well taken care of travelling to and from the location, the ship was warm and comfortable and clearly a most hardy seagoing vessel. It was great to leave early in the day and make the most of the light and have as much time as needed. We were so lucky to see many Orcas feeding and sleepy hump back whales too in the setting of the incredible arctic landscape. My daughter and i will never forget the experience and we hope to return to Norway and book again with Njord Adventures in the future. Unbedingt empfehlenswerte Tour, die Reiseleiterin war toll. Wir haben viele Wale gesehen und sind noch etwas länger geblieben als die anderen Touren. So konnten wir noch Buckelwale sehen.Es gab heiße Getränke und Kekse und eine leichte Suppe. Allerdings hatte ich mir da nicht unbedingt eine Tütensuppe vorgestellt.

Unbedingt empfehlenswerte Tour, die Reiseleiterin war toll. Wir haben viele Wale gesehen und sind noch etwas länger geblieben als die anderen Touren. So konnten wir noch Buckelwale sehen.Es gab heiße Getränke und Kekse und eine leichte Suppe. Allerdings hatte ich mir da nicht unbedingt eine Tütensuppe vorgestellt.

Hannaleena and her team make the whale safari a truly amazing experience. They have a small, excellent, and very fast boat that allows them to reach more remote bays, ensuring whale sightings. They are incredibly friendly, helpful, informative, and don’t watch the clock - they genuinely want the best for their customers. During our tour, they went over an hour past the scheduled time because a whale family followed us in the fjord and we had incredible moments.

We had a wonderful tour and booked immediately for the next day, that says everything. What makes this tour unique isvthe smaller soze of zhe group, it felt very personal and perfetly organized by the small team. Especially Hannaleena is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable and the captain made us feel very safe. We had a wonderful tour and booked immediately for the next day, that says everything. What makes this tour unique isvthe smaller soze of zhe group, it felt very personal and perfetly organized by the small team. Especially Hannaleena is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable and the captain made us feel very safe. They hav no restricted schedule they go the extra mile to create great experiences for the guests. We saw lot of whales, orcas and humpbacks, it was amazing and a bonus the sunrise during the trip

The boat is great, plenty of space. The journey, whilst long, is stunning. The crew are knowledgable and friendly and they get you close enough to be in awe of these wonderful creatures whilst still respecting their space.

We had a fantastic whale watching trip with the Njord team. We got to spend several hours surrounded by Orcas/Killer Whales as they went about their business! Not only that, but we also got to see Little Auks and Sea Eagles, and the scenery through the fjords was absolutely stunning! Hannaleena and Daniel were very welcoming. We had unlimited access to hot drinks and biscuits. The boat was warm and comfortable. Hannaleena was extremely knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions and share information.
