Wir hatten eine fantastische Tour mit Njord Adventures in Tromsø. Die Crew war unglaublich lieb und wir sind sehr lange bei den Orcas geblieben. Es war einfach ein rundum tolles Erlebnis! Absolute Empfehlung – wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen ☺️

Nach zahlreichen erfolglosen Whale Watching Tours in allen Ländern hat mir Njord Adventures endlich meinen Traum erfüllt Orcas in freier Wildbahn hautnah zu erleben. Die Tour war mit Abstand die Beste, die ich bisher erlebt habe. Die Crew hat uns mit sehr viel Rücksicht & genügend Abstand zu den Tieren einen magischen Tag geschenkt. Wir haben super viele Orcas und Buckelwale gesehen. Das Boot ist sehr komfortabel. Für heiße Getränke, eine saubere Toilette an Board ist gesorgt. Was mir besonders gut gefallen hat, ist das wir uns sehr lange bei den Tieren aufgehalten haben. Der Kapitän hat uns immer wieder Richtung der Wale gebracht, ohne zu aufdringlich zu den Tieren zu sein. Ich kann diese Tour zu 1000% empfehlen und bin froh, dass ich mich für diesen kleineren Anbieter entschieden habe. Es waren nur ca 30 Menschen. Jeder hatte einen bequemen Platz und auch beim Fotografieren und Filmen hatten wir alle genug Platz, um etwas zu sehen. Tausend Dank an Njord Adventures!

Amazing experience. Today's experience was incredible. Not only did we see multiple orca but we got to see two humpback whales and the Northern lights on the ride back in. Words can not explain how great this trip was. The knowledge of the local guide Hannaleena was fantastic and the boat skipper Daniel did a great job of getting us close to the whales and keeping them safe.

We had a fabulous time with the team at Njord Adventures. Pro-Tip: BRING ANTI-NAUSEA meds. The seas are rough and it's a 3-4 hour journey before you reach where the whales are located. The whales are fantastic and worth putting up with the other sea sick travelers!

Abbiamo fatto un tour con questa compagnia, che dire, barca perfetta, pulita, calda comoda e soprattutto veloce, siamo stati tra i primi ad arrivare nella zona delle balene dopo circa due ore e mezza di attraversata, nel frattempo la guida ci ha spiegato in maniera semplice e veloce un po di cose da sapere a riguardo degli animali che avremmo potuto avvistare.
A bordo c’è una comoda macchinetta per caffè e bevande calde in generale, con tanto di abbondanti biscotti.
Il whale watching vero e proprio è durato circa due ore e mezza, anche di più, e la cosa che ho ritenuto veramente un passo avanti è stata l’abbandonare la zona quando troppe altre barche si avvicinavano alla nostra, ovviamente dopo averci chiesto se fossimo d’accordo e contenti, per cercare altre balene lontano dalle altre imbarcazioni.
Insomma, un’esperienza non propriamente turistica per una volta, e ben più efficace, alla fine abbiamo visto tutto, e anzi siamo stati l’ultima imbarcazione ad andare via, quando saremmo già dovuti essere di ritorno, e i ragazzi ci hanno concesso una mezzoretta da soli con un paio di megattere che stavano riposando in superficie, lasciandoci godere appieno fino all’ultimo istante l’esperienza.
Posso solo dirvi grazie. Tutto stupendo

It was a great experience. Very comfortable and cozy boat, right amount of people to enjoy the experience and a great guide (Hannaleena). They respected the orcas by keeping a safe distance, and still it was impressive. I recommend this company for whale watching

Fabulous experience! I was lucky enough to win this tour. Communication, friendliness and the tour itself was good. Although its a small boat tour, we were taken in a big boat to increase chances of seeing them, being end of season. We did see a few including orcas.

Highly recommend Njord adventures had a wonderful trip on the 12/12/25 . Friendly and informative crew . Comfortable size boat room for everyone . Great supply of warm drinks and soup which was much appreciated on such a cold day .

Wirklich ganz ganz toll! Ein kleines Unternehmen , dem es wirklich wichtig ist, dass ihre Gäste glücklich sind und die sich sehr um ihre Gäste bemühen. Hannalena hat uns viel über die Wale erzählt und durch das schnelle Boot waren wir auch in 2.5h bei den Walen. Wir haben ganz viele Wale gesehen , es war atemberaubend schön und trotzdem wurden die Tiere in ihrer natürliche Umgebung respektiert ( nicht zu nah dran gefahren, verfolgt etc). Als die meisten Boote umgekehrt sind , sind wir noch weiter gefahren und haben noch ein paar Walspots aufgesucht da noch etwas Tageslicht da war. Das sticht gegenüber anderen Anbietern definitiv hervor. Auch die kleine Gruppengröße von höchstens 30 , macht die Tour sehr privat und entspannt. Es gab die ganze Tour über gratis Tee und Kaffee sowie Suppe . Wir haben uns wirklich sehr sehr wohl gefühlt und hatten den besten Tag seit langem. Auf der Rückfahrt konnten wir sogar noch Polarlichter sehen. Danke 🤗 bucht diese Tour , ihr werdet es nicht bereuen .

I did a lot of research before landing at Njord Adventures and it was perfect. Im early 30s with my husband and my mom. Didnt want to be stuck on a large boat with a million people for 7 hours and wasnt ready for a RIB boat. Njord has a smaller vessel with comfortable seating and amenities, perfect for optimizing wild life viewing with easy access being indoors to get warm and being outside on the decks for the glorious views. Our guide was a true professional in educating and helping us spot all the sea life. We saw swarms of orcas, 2 humpbacks, and even a fin whale. Amazing experience, I highly recommend.

Incredible fjords cruise!! We all had the orca whale watching tour booked, but unfortunately the trip got cancelled due to the whales migrating with the herring.
Couldn’t have asked for a better day. We got to see a moose, seal, eagle and otters. We docked up at sommaroy, and got an hour to explore the area.
Highly recommend booking this tour if your whale tour gets cancelled.

We had an amazing whale watching experience with Njord Adventures. The boat is small but comfortable. If you tend to become sea sick, a bigger boat might be a better option but this smaller boat ensures that the group on the boat isn't too big. We had taken another boat in the year before and this experience was closer to the whales and people were not in each other's ways. I also need to mention that the crew made sure to navigate the waters respectfully and carefully and it never felt like we were "chasing" the whales and let them come towards us instead. The guide and the captain were very nice and did a great job. I would always book again with this company.

This tour was an incredible and absolutely unforgettable experience. We left early in the morning. While Jørn navigated us safely through the fjords, Hannaleena shared her knowledge about whales with us. When we arrived at the whale watching spot, our boat maintained a respectful distance to the whales and waited until they approached us - which they did. It was absolutely mind blowing to see Orcas and Humpbacks right next to our boat. Thank you, Hannaleena and Jørn, we will not forget this wonderful day with the whales and you!

Wow! I can't think of a better way to describe the adventure we had with Njord Adventures in Tromsø last Saturday. The experience we booked was even better than expected. We had the opportunity to watch the whales up close, and we were given lots of information. The whole crew was fantastic — so kind, and always pointing out where the orcas were coming from. I would definitely recommend booking a whale-watching tour here, and if we ever come back, this is the tour we want to take again.

We wanted to have a genuine experience with experts and an adventure too - our trip with Njord Adventures on 6th December 2025 delivered all of this and more! What an experienced crew, Hannaleena was so knowledgeable, informing us on all key aspects, whilst giving us space to experience the journey and serene destination, taking in the experience and encounters with the whales. We felt very safe and well taken care of travelling to and from the location, the ship was warm and comfortable and clearly a most hardy seagoing vessel. It was great to leave early in the day and make the most of the light and have as much time as needed. We were so lucky to see many Orcas feeding and sleepy hump back whales too in the setting of the incredible arctic landscape. My daughter and i will never forget the experience and we hope to return to Norway and book again with Njord Adventures in the future. Sincere thanks to the whole crew for a life changing, wonderous experience. We could not recommend more highly!

We had an incredible experience with Njord Adventures. The boat was the perfect size-large enough to be comfortable, but small enough to feel personal and uncrowded.

The guides were outstanding: friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly very experienced. We were among the first boats to reach the whale areas and stayed out longer than most, which made a huge difference.

We were lucky enough to see a large number of orcas up close, and the whole experience felt well-paced, respectful of the wildlife, and truly unforgettable. If you’re planning whale watching in Tromsø, this is an excellent choice and one we would highly recommend.

In short this was one of the most magical experiences we had in a long time!

We went out today and saw many orcas and whales. The boat is fast and small. Its the perfect way to get to the Orcas. We loved every moment. Dress very very warm. Thank you!

This was a major highlight of our Tromso visit. We had the best time on their Whale Safari!

We were originally booked with another agency that cancelled last minute. Jorn & Hannaleena graciously helped us contact that group and ended up letting us join their boat on the spot.

They took us right to a spot in Knaevangen fjord that had several groups of orcas and a couple humpbacks. The boat had hot drinks, biscuits, and soup on the journey. It was smaller than other boats we saw, which made it faster and not overcrowded. There was still two indoor levels with seating to stay warm for the journey out.

Overall, a super memorable day. We can’t thank Jorn & Hannaleena enough!!

We joined a whale tour with Njord Adventures on their small boat. Even though it was fully booked with around 40 people, it never felt crowded. Our guide Hannaleena was very friendly, knowledgeable, and explained everything clearly.

We were incredibly lucky and saw orcas, humpback whales, and even a fin whale. One orca stayed right next to the boat for about five minutes and swam around us, what an unforgettable experience.

These are wild animals, so sightings can never be guaranteed, but the crew always kept a respectful distance and clearly cared about the animals’ well-being.

Absolutely recommended, a once-in-a-lifetime experience!

Des conditions météo de notre côté, une traversée à travers les Fjord sublime avec des couleurs pastels. Des baleines, des orques, un aigle et pour couronner le tout des aurores boréales sur le chemin du retour. Les équipes à bord étaient exceptionnelles. Merci pour ce rêve éveillé ! Une émotion rare de voir tout cela.

I had an absolutely amazing time on this whale watching tour! I am so happy I chose this company. The staff were incredibly responsible and dedicated, working so hard to make sure we saw both orcas and whales! The boat was very comfortable and cozy, and honestly, the biscuits provided were so delicious—I loved them! Hahaha!! The scenery along the way was breathtakingly beautiful. If I ever have the chance to visit Norway again, I will definitely book with this company again just to go whale hunting with them! Highly recommended!

Great trip! Very well planned and passionate. The trip is done very respectable to the whales and we got to see orcas and humpbackwhales. Due to small size of the boat the experience feels personal. Carry really warm clothes it gets really cold out there.

Muy buena experiencia. Ése día era especialmente frío y no vimos demasiada actividad. Pero los fiordos, el ambiente y las orcas que nos rondaron junto con dos breves ballenas a lo lejos hicieron un día para recordar.
El grupo es muy reducido permitiendo disfrutar más de la actividad.
En el barco hay café, té, sopa, chocolate caliente y galletas para disfrutar de un descanso entre los avistamientos en el exterior.

Thankful for this great experience. The communication was on point and the service just great. With patience we were lucky to see Orcas and humpback whales. We were given plenty of time to watch, enjoy and take pictures. I got to know a lot more about the whales we saw than imagined. Thank you Njord team for making our trip extra special.
