We take you on a whale safari from Tromsø to the feeding grounds of killer whales (Orcinus orca), humpback whales (Megaptera novaeangliae) and fin whales (Balaenoptera physalus) as they gather in the fjords of Northern Norway for their yearly feast on Atlantic herring (Clupea harengus)

What to expect

The journey to the whales takes approximately 2.5 hours, during which you can relax and enjoy the beauty of the ocean, mountains, fjords and the polar night of Northern Norway. On the way, we will navigate through various areas with differing sea conditions, from more sheltered waters to the everyday adventure of crossing Lyngenfjord.

When we reach the whales, we slow down, and take our time. There is no strict schedule – the whales and the weather dictate the pace.

Throughout the day, you will be looked after by our friendly and experienced crew, who have many years of first-hand knowledge of the sea, nature and wildlife of Northern Norway.
